Pray For Me Brother - Rahman & BharatBala - Divx

There is a striking disparity in our world today. Lives are grossly varied in terms of wealth, comfort and quality across the globe. One part of the world lives joyfully in freedom and plenty while another part exists in pain and misery. Even with the reach of the global media, it is a tragic reality that the more fortunate souls of the world live in relative ignorance of the plight of their less fortunate, suffering brethren whose lives are touched by war, famine, disease and poverty.

In 1998, after averting a major crisis in the Middle East through diplomatic means, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan had spoken the following words: ‘Never underestimate the power of prayer.’ In his eyes, it was prayer that finally gave any material means the agency to make the world a better place. Prayer is selfless. Prayer is a sacrifice. Prayer is what connects us to those less fortunate than ourselves. Prayer is love and love itself is the ultimate healer.

‘Pray for Me Brother’is a song about the emotion that lies at the heart of prayer – the emotion of love. It re-instils our faith in love’s power to heal and reminds us that that there are those in this world who need of our gestures of healing and comfort.

The film attempts to bring these two worlds together through its story and in doing so depicts the dawning of a particular realization on its protagonist – that he need not wait for a reason to show kindness, that now was the time for him to offer a healing prayer to his brothers and sisters in need across the world.

Lyrics of Pray for me brother (Lyrics by Blaaze)

Pray for me brother
Pray for me brother
Pray for me sister
Are you searchin’….
Pray for me brother

Lookin’ for the answers To all the questions In my life
Will I be alone Will you be there By my side
Is it something he said Is it something he did
I wonder why He is searchin’ For the answers
To stay alive

Could you ever listen Could you ever care
To speak your mind
Only for a minute For only one moment
In time

The joy is around us But show me the love
That we must find
Are you searchin’ For a reason to be kind, to be kind…
He said… Pray for me brother

Pray for me brother Pray for me sister
Pray for me brother Say
what you wanna say now
But keep your hearts open
Be what you wanna be now
Let’s heal the confusion
Pray for me brother

Don’t let me take When you don’t wanna give
Don’t be afraid Just let me live
Don’t let me take When you don’t wanna give
Don’t be afraid Say what you wanna say now
But keep your hearts open

Be what you wanna be now Let’s heal the confusion
Pray for me brother Pray for me brother
I’m ashamed ah, brother be dying of poverty
when he down on his knees its only then he prays
And it’s a shame ah, brother be dying of ignorance
cos the world is a trip and everybody’s a hypocrite
Need to stop ah , taking a look at the other
I’m not ashamed of poverty
need to be making his life better
So think about it, think about it once more
cos life is a blessing and it’s not justa show, ah
Round and round the world is spinning around

We need to be singing a prayer, we need to be singing it now
Round and round the world is turning around
We need to be singing a prayer, we need to be singing it now
Need to be feeling the power, need to be feeling the faith
We need to coming together just to win this race

Need to be feeling the power, need to be feeling the faith
We need to coming together just to win this race (twice)
Are you searching for a reason to be kind ?

Bhaja Govindam

Bhaja Govindam

Bhaja Govindam was written by Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya.

Bhaja govindaM is one of the minor compositions of the spiritual giant, Adi Shankaracharya . It is classified as a prakaraNa grantha, a primer to the major works . Though sung as a bhajan, it contains the essence of vedanta and implores the man to think, Why am I here in this life ? Why am I amassing wealth, family, but have no peace ? What is the Truth ? What is the purpose of life ? The person thus awakened gets set on a path to the inner road back to the God principle.

My Ho-hum Life

"Enough of it.. thats fine." I feel like saying these words every now and then these days. Just because I feel soo tiresome. Lots to learn and lots to do. Learning by doing is not always true. Still holding on to be cheerful and alive. The same old hospital, same old work. Its been almost one year that I joined here. May be its because I am approaching the end of PGY-1 year, I feel dampened. And thats the reason I don't have any posts.

Meanwhile, I also have so many questions propping up. One clear cut question out of those like the essence of it is 'what next?'. Do people back home need help? Now? In future? (People getting service and goods for lower price would not appreciate the value of them. Apart from the few people who cannot really afford, people at higher economic strata try to exploit the services.)Or do I end up giving my services to people who don't need it?(Places where any economics doesn't work and only ergonomics do, would be an ideal place.) Can I stand alone with competition who wants business?
What about our social segregation factor - The caste?

What kind of specialty would be the best to go back home? In the first line, does it require a specialty? What would be the investment?
