Series IX - Wars 1962, 1965, 1971

Indo-Chinese War - 1962Aksai Chin - Now a ruled by China, Claimed By India

Arunachal Pradesh - Now Ruled by India.

One of the main causes of the Sino-Indian War of 1962 was India's discovery of a road China had built through the region, which India considers its territory. The road China National Highway 219 connecting Tibet and Xinjiang, passes through no sizeable town in Aksai Chin, there are only some military posts and truck stop places as Tianshuihai or Dahongliutian. The area is strategically important to China because of this road.

The Sino-Indian War is one of the largest military conflicts fought at such a high altitude and an example of mountain warfare, with combat taking place at over 4267 metres, or 14,000 feet.Result is after advancing to its claim lines, China holds Aksai Chin and withdraws from the North East Frontier Agency.

The Indo-Pakistani War of 1965

Also known as the Second Kashmir War, was the culmination of a series of skirmishes that occurred between April 1965 and September 1965 between India and Pakistan. The result is stalemate. UN mandated ceasefire.

The Indo-Pakistani War of 1971

Bangladesh Liberation War, sometimes also referred to as Pakistani Civil War)Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 was a major military conflict between India and Pakistan. The war is closely associated with Bangladesh Liberation War (sometimes also referred to as Pakistani Civil War). There is an argument about exact dates of the war. However, the armed conflict on India's western front during the period between 3 December 1971 and 16 December 1971 is called the Indo-Pakistani War by both the Bangladeshi and Indian armies. The war ended in a crushing defeat for the Pakistani military in just a fortnight.
